FXPRIMUS Opens Australian Office & Obtains ASIC Authorised Representative Designation

FXPRIMUS announced today they have formed FXPRIMUS Australia Pty Ltd and have subsequently opened an office in Australia. Initially they will be operating as a corporate authorised representative (No. 456992) of HLK Group Pty Ltd which holds the Australian Financial Services License (AFSL 435746.) In addition, FXPRIMUS will be submitting their application for an AFS license.

FXPRIMUS President Terry Thompson said of the latest development, "This is an important event in the growth of FXPRIMUS, in that it adds a significant layer of credibility to our brokerage firm. While we have established presence in other respected jurisdictions, to have the ability to provide our current and future clients with the comfort of knowing we are operating under the jurisdiction of the Australian Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC) is invaluable. Our Asian client base is very important to us, and it's no secret that having an Australian presence and operating under ASIC regulations is held in high regard. Moving in this direction is an obvious progression in maintaining our commitment to customers to conduct our business in a responsible fashion, something we've done since Day 1.

Mr. Thompson continued, "We view this as a two-step process. The first is complete. After performing extensive due diligence on our operations, HLK Group has extended an offer to us to become a corporate authorised representative (CAR). The second step is also in progress, and we are eagerly awaiting AFS license approval in due course."
