China Investment Expo

Important Notice - US Daylight Savings

Friday 8th of March 2013

Kindly note that due to the Daylight Savings in the United States that will take place on Sunday 10th March, the market will close an hour earlier on Friday March 8th 2013 at 21:00 GMT instead of 21:50 GMT. As a result when the market closes you will not be able to see any price feeds on any currency and no transaction will be accepted by the server after this period.

The market will open again as normal on Sunday March 10th 2013 at 22:05 GMT.

Daylight Savings time changes

Friday 8th of March 2013

Please be advised that Daylight Savings Time begins in the USA on the 10th of March 2013. Therefore, the GMT offset of our MetaTrader4 Server will be changed accordingly, to GMT+3.

This may require you to adjust your Expert Advisors or Indicators to the new time zone.

Notification of change in Trading Times

HotForex would like to inform you that during the course of this weekend the time in the US will be changing due to Daylight Savings, and this will naturally bring about some changes in the Trading Times that will be in effect when the market reopens on Sunday.

Commodity CFDs

The Friday market closing time on Forex will be changed temporarily to 9:00pm (GMT) until the 31st March on which day European Daylight Savings come in to effect and normal market hours will resume.

Server Time to GMT +3

Wednesday 6th of March 2013

On Sunday the 10th of March 2013, the Pepperstone MT4 Server time will move one hour forward to GMT +3 hours.

Pepperstone bases MT4 Server time on "5pm New York", the internationally recognised end-of-day in the forex markets. The US will be changing to Daylight Saving Time on the 10th of March 2013. With the US turning clocks one hour forward the Pepperstone MT4 Server Time will also move one hour forward.

How does this affect me?

The only noticeable change that you will experience is that the Market Watch time in MT4 will now be set at GMT+3. This might not affect your trading at all - however, depending on your timezone, this may cause the market to open one hour earlier on Monday. The MT4 server time will still open at 0:00 on the charts, this may just be an hour earlier for your time-zone.

GMT Offset

If you are using an EA with a GMT offset time, then you must change the GMT offset to +3 just prior to the 10th of March.
